Netflix is producing a lot of outstanding original programming of late and one of their newest offerings, The Santa Clarita Diet, is no exception. I saw the show pop up on my recommended tab, but completely glossed over it until a friend told me it was about zombies – a kind of Dexter with the lead being a zombie instead of a serial killer. I’ve only gotten through the first four episodes so far, but the show is hysterical and features an all-star lineup that delivers a great comedy alternative to the zombie genre. Hats off to Netflix and the cast for breathing new life into the entertainment world of the dead!
